The goal of steganography is to avoid drawing suspicion tothe transmission of a hidden message in multi-medium. Thiscreates a potential problem when this technology ismisused for planning criminal activities. In this paper, anew steganalysis technique is proposed on the basis ofhistogram analysis on the wavelet coefficients for thedetection the very existence of wavelet domaininformation hiding techniques. And our approach laysparticular stress on methods in which secret message wasembedded via quantizating wavelet coefficients. Differentstatistical discrepancies are obtained by histogram analysis ofsub-band wavelet coefficients from stego-images and innocentimages. And FFT of these discrepancies are used to form aquantitative criterion to determine whether an image has beenembedded secret message or not. Experimental results showthat the proposed algorithm is comparable to previouslyexisting techniques.
