The Internet is currently being used to supportincreasingly complex interactions. The entities, withwhich applications and services need to interact, span awide spectrum that includes desktops, PDAs, appliances, and other networked resources. Clients - which abstractusers, resources and proxies thereto - within thesesystems communicate with each other through theexchange of events, which are essentially messages withtimestamps. In this paper we explore matching, routingand network utilization issues in the context of ourresearch prototype NaradaBrokering, which providessupport for centralized, distributed and P2P interactions.
