Abstract

In previous work, we introduced a distributedmiddleware infrastructure for managing physically-bounded,standalone pervasive computingenvironments, which we refer to as Active Spaces. Inthis paper, we extend this middleware to support theorganization, management and interactions of large-scalepervasive computing systems built from multipleActive Spaces or other pervasive computingcomponents.
