The middleware infrastructure to support applications isbecoming critically important to the new horizons of mobileand pervasive computing. In this context, the goal of ourwork is to propose architecture and a prototype of a middlewarewhich is adapted to the usage and the requirementsof the future mobile systems. While message oriented middleware(MOM) is an established concept for a long time onthe fixed environments, we work to put forward the idea thatit proposes an effective solution of many issues in the mobileenvironments. Our contribution is to bring current MOMscloser to the specifities of these environments, through providingmore adaptability and context-awareness, and alsothrough supporting more specific problems like intermittentconnection and multi-network access.
