Abstract

In this paper, we present a Cluster-Based Location Routing (CBLR) algorithm to support inter-vehicular and vehicle-roadside communications. CBLR algorithm may well be classified like reactive and distributed based on location of the nodes. With the purpose, to evaluate the algorithm over fast mobile nodes, we have implemented in OPNET a microscopic traffic model to simulate the mobility of the vehicles on a motorway. Three scenarios have been evaluated in term of route discovery time, end-to-end delay, number of retransmission and data throughput.
