Different IT applications require different SecurityServices. We have been working in the area of e-healthapplications in a mobile environment, and we haveneeded to integrate specific Security Services. The paperpresents those Security Services for Mobile e-HealthServices and how we have implemented them. First, thedifferent security threats specially oriented to the e-healthapplications are described, like patients' dataeavesdropping and manipulation. Afterwards, thedifferent security mechanisms to address these specificsecurity threats are described, e.g. data confidentialityand integrity, together with the restrictions of dynamicIP addresses. Following, the specification of securityservices requirements and the implementationpossibilities to address them in the Mobile e-HealthServices are described. As an example of securityservices integrated into an e-health system, the paperincludes the description of the mobile e-health serviceMobiHealth, an application developed under theMobiHealth Project, co-funded by the EuropeanCommission (IST-2001-36006), focused on the securityservices added to it.
