Abstract

The emerging of wireless computing motivates radicalchanges of how information is derived. Our paperconcerns with developing push and pull based applicationin wireless environment. We use a simplified e-health(hospital) context to demonstrate some effective uses ofpull-based and push-based mechanisms. The pullmechanism involves information retrieval from adatabase, and update information in the database. Thepush mechanism is classified into three scenarios, (i)aperiodic push, (ii) periodic push 驴 global recipients and(iii) periodic push 驴 selective recipients.
