Abstract

The goal of a decision support system is to provide thehuman user with an optimized decision recommendationwhen operating under uncertainty in complexenvironments. The particular focus of our discussion isthe investment domain & the goal of investment decision-makingis to select an optimal portfolio that satisfies theinvestor's objective, or, in other words, to maximize theinvestment returns under the constraints given byinvestors. The investment domain contains numerous anddiverse information sources, such as expert opinions, news releases and economic figures, and so on. Thispresents the potential for better decision support, butposes the challenge of building a decision support agentfor accessing, filtering, evaluating, incorporatinginformation from different sources, and for making finalinvestment recommendations. We proposed a hybridrecommendation system that utilized two differentartificial intelligence techniques to provide human user adecision recommendation on stock portfolio management.
