Abstract

Fairness is one of the basic requirements of E-Commerceprotocols and applications. CEMBS is provedto be an important cryptographic building primitive inconstructing fair exchange protocols. In this paper thedrawbacks of existing CEMBS-implementing methods areanalyzed. A new CEMBS-constructing method based onRSA signature is proposed, which is proved to be simple,efficient and secure. Afterwards, a fair exchange protocolis built using the newly constructed CEMBS. And thedevised scheme in this paper is the first efficient CEMBSbased on RSA signatures.
