This paper provides an account of the role that the interaction between nominal and temporal reference plays in resolving temporal reference. Exploiting this interaction in resolving temporal reference clarifies how the process of resolving nominal reference interacts with the process of resolving temporal reference, and how a restricted set of world knowledge contributes to resolving temporal reference.
