Development of resuable dictionaries for NLP applications requires a carefully designed lexicological framework, a lexical acquisition strategy, an integrated development toolbox, and facilities to generate dictionaries for client applications. This paper presents results of the LEXIC project, which was set up to prepare the development of large multilingual lexical resources.
