Abstract

Software reuse covers the whole process of identification, representation, retrieval, adaptation and integration of reusable software components. The current Module Integration and Adaptation Tool for Ada Components (MIATAC) approach has the entire reliance to manual effort of maintainer to the formal specifications of software components. Building a tool to identify reusable components and effectively generate formal specifications for reusable components will make the MIATAC a more effective approach to software reuse. The Maintainer's Assistant (MA) is a reverse engineering tool using formal methods. The integration of these two tools, MA-MIATAC, will offer a new approach to components reuse.
