Abstract

Simulated based network design is a powerfultechnique in vision metrology systems (VMS) toautomate camera placement process. Relativelyexpensive and time-consuming process of building 3Dsimulated CAD model is the main drawback of thistechnique which causes to do not be practicallyattended by users. In this paper, a new visibilityprediction analysis using artificial neural network(ANN) is proposed. This flexible and reliable methodcan be installed in intelligent cameras to predict thevisibility of weak points during imaging in order tosuggest the best position and situation of next camerastation. Our primary tests on a complex networkdemonstrated high capability of the proposed method.
