Abstract

This paper deals with how to characterizetexture and how to get a good description ofimages with a minimal number of parameters.This procedure is more objective than textualdata. Texture characterization has been usedin a matching system to detect changes incouples of aerial images taken at two differenttimes using different order of statistics todescribe images. The results are quite encouraging.
