Abstract

Implementing image-processing systems can requiresignificant effort and resources due to information volumeand algorithm complexity.Model Integrated Computing(MIC) based image processing systems show promise insupporting solutions of these complex problems.WhileMIC has contributed to the advancement of performingcomplex image processing tasks on parallel-embeddedsystems, it has not addressed a challenging class ofalgorithms that adapt the image-processing algorithmbased on the information or state of the image processingsystem. This proposed effort addresses creating anadaptive image-processing environment based on MICthat allows solutions of complex image processingproblems to be built and executed rapidly. This effort willinvolve creating a new modeling representation for imageprocessing adaptation mechanisms. The proposed MIC-basedadaptive image-processing environment willgenerate a solution given the modeling constraints andexecute it on a number of hardware architectures.
