Workflow management systems (WfMSs) areaccepted worldwide due to their ability ofmodeling and controlling business processes. Inthe past, we defined an intra-organizationalworkflow specification model, ProcessLANguage PLAN. PLAN, with the associatedtools, allows user to describe the graphspecification for porcesses, artifacts andparticipantsý organization. PLAN has beensuccessfully implemented in Agentflow and runwith workflow (Agentflow) applications. PLANand most current WfMSs adopt the centralizedarchitecture in an organization, so that they canbe applied in an organization only. Theparticipants in different organizations cannotserve one another with workflows. In this paper, we present an inter-organizationalworkflow model, CollaborativeAgentflow Process LANguage. CA-PLAN,extended from PLAN, let workflow systemsinside an organization be specified as workflowservices provided by the organization. Its inter-organizationalarchitecture make user specifywork applications as in PLAN. Besides, therelated service techniques and supporting toolsprovided in Agentflow systems are presented.
