Abstract

Most centralized web search engines currently becomeharder to catch up with the growing step of peopleýs informationneed. Here, we present a fully distributed, collaborativepeer-to-peer web search engine named Coopeer. Thegoal of the work is to complement centralized search enginesto provide more humanized and personalized resultsby utilizing usersý collaboration. Towards this goal, threemain ideas are introduced: (a) PeerRank to use cooperationamong users for evaluation, (b) query-based representationto obtain more humanized description about documents,and (c) semantic routing algorithm to obtain user-customizedresults.
