Abstract

ArchE (Architecture Expert) is an rule based systemthat contains a model of modifiability. The model plusmodifiability scenarios that characterize expectedchange enable ArchE to collaborate with an architectto produce a design of the architecture that supportsthe expected change. ArchE has been used with realrequirements from a manufacturer. This paperdescribes the model used in ArchE and how thearchitect and ArchE interact in order to produce adesign.
