The Wavestat project deals with the application of different clustering methods on wavelet coefficients of image data to approach the reconstruction of the image from the clustered and averaged wavelet coefficents.The quality of the reconstruction depends on the used wavelet-transform, the kind of applied cluster analysis and the number of iterations when performing the inverse wavelet transform.
