Abstract

In ensemble (or bulk) quantum computation, all computationsare performed on an ensemble of computersrather than on a single computer.Measurements of qubitsin an individual computer cannot be performed; instead,only expectation values (over the complete ensemble ofcomputers) can be measured.As a result of this limitationon the model of computation, many algorithms cannotbe processed directly on such computers, and mustbe modified.We provide modification of the fault tolerantquantum computation protocols to enable processingon ensemble quantum computers.
