In this paper, we propose a novel approach for solvingthe reliable broadcast problem in a probabilisticunreliable model. Our approach consists in first definingthe optimality of probabilistic reliable broadcastalgorithms and the adaptiveness of algorithms thataim at converging toward such optimality. Then, wepropose an algorithm that precisely converges towardthe optimal behavior, thanks to an adaptive strategybased on Bayesian statistical inference. We comparethe performance of our algorithm with that of a typicalgossip algorithm through simulation. Our resultsshow, for example, that our adaptive algorithm quicklyconverges toward such exact knowledge.
