Abstract

With the advancement of web services technologies,on-line businesses have the ability to offer theircapabilities to larger, lesser known communities ofpotential collaborators. Universal Description,Discovery, and Integration (UDDI) specification andsupporting technologies support open frameworks forbusinesses to store, advertise and retrieve pertinentservices. Many researchers investigate approaches thatubiquitously create higher-level processes by composingservices discovered in and retrieved from UDDIregistries. However, there are few studies that considerthe impact of registry performance on future serviceautomation. This work focuses on evaluating theperformance of UDDI registries considering variabilityand concurrent load of publish and inquiry requests.
