Abstract

The authors review their experience in adapting IBM SanFranciscoTM software to use outside of the financial problem domain. The IBM SanFrancisco warehouse and order management core business processes are explored, showing how the components and processes contained within the core business processes are being adapted for use in a scheduling and human resource tracking system to reduce product investment and increase reliability. Additionally, techniques for migrating from relational database "legacy" systems to SanFrancisco core business processes are discussed.
