The Microelectronics and Computer Technology Corporation (MCC) is an industry consortium formed to conduct long-range research and develop computer technology in seven general areas. One of those areas is software technology, specifically the technology employed during the development of software systems. This paper outlines that research program, the MCC Software Technology Program.
