This Works in Progress features: The Pervasive Infrastructure Sensor Networks project at Carnegie Mellon University; the (UC Irvine) Visualization and Interactive Systems groupýs specialized network of high-speed cameras for monitoring and tracking nonstructural elements within building structures; the Turku Centre for Computer Scienceýs middleware support for network-centric ubiquitous systems; multichannel adaptive information systems (the MAIS project); The FLUIDUM project (Flexible User Interfaces for Distributed Ubiquitous Machinery) at Saarland University, Germany; and the University of Cambridgeýs study of computer application models that adapt to their context.
