Abstract

Information technology, alone and in conjunction with other technologies, is rightfully to blame for making it increasingly easy for government and commercial interests to violate individual privacy at will. Yet, openly available technology can also offer users complete privacy in their communications, regardless of the distance between them; all it takes is some technological savvy and a willingness to use it.
