Software validation is an important activity with the aim to test the requirements of a software product. Several testing techniques have been developed, and one of these is statistical usage testing (SUT). The main purpose of SUT is to test a software product from a userýs point of view. Hence, usage models are designed and then test cases are developed from the models. The development from the usage models to test cases can be made automatically with the help from a tool. This paper describes a joint European project with the aim to develop such a tool (called MaTeLo) for statistical usage testing.
