Abstract

Research in Computer Science is labor-intensive and requires the involvement of students. In primarily undergraduate institutions, the lack of doctoral students increases the need to involve undergraduate and Master's level graduate students in research. This paper reports on experiences gathered with student research at such an institution and suggests strategies for successful student research. We also report on a case study in student participation as an example for successful student-faculty collaboration.
