Abstract

Desktop virtual navigation environment is an important part of virtual reality research. The development work of Digital TianJin University (TJU) navigation system has been just finished. Some key technology used in the design of this system will be presented in this paper. The whole navigation system is based on Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML). And JavaScript is employed to augment the dynamic interactive effect in navigating process. Moreover, virtual human in H-Anim standard is added to make Digital TJU more animate. And modeling of TJU will also be described too.
