Network attached disk storage is an independent Internet node and provides geographical distribution, mutual identification and exchange of storage objects. The paper describes a method for global identification of storage objects and a structure of object registry. For the identification word-wide unique identifiers are generated by double hash transformation based on the Advanced Encryption Standard (Rijndael) with no collisions.
