Abstract

Three articles about Mastermind (MM) have appeared in the SIGART Newsletter in the past 2 years. Each paper presents a different strategy for MM but only one gives a non-anecdotal assessment of performance. None of the papers seriously address the issue of what would be an optimal strategy of MM.
