Abstract

The numerical inversion of the eigenvector matrix is an essential mathematical operation in various branches of mathematics, science and engineering. There is no single method which yields an exact inverse of any given matrix. There are several applications where we are free to rearrange the columns of the eigenvector matrix in any order we like provided the eigen values are also shifted accordingly and the matrix with the best column arrangement (which reduces the errors in the inverse) can be used for inversion.
