Abstract

Placement algorithms for general logic graphs or interconnected modules exist in many forms with the acceptability of a given algorithm being dependent upon the set of design constraints imposed. This paper outlines an approach for the placement of ECL modules on a printed circuit board combining existing placement concepts and an evaluational technique called sequential netting. The primary design constraints are assumed to be in the form of rigid wiring rules.
