Based on previous works on geographical information (GI) modeling and information retrieval, we report on the development of a human-system interface for the AntéServeur Géographique project. The AntéServeur project is a middleware system that implements a framework for retrieving geographical data of heterogeneous nature. After a bref overview of various existing frameworks for GI retrieval and a short descrption of the principles of the bimodal interface, this paper focuses on the spatial model underlying our approach and ≪semnatic feedback≫ carried out.
