The first three chapters of this book flow together beautifully. The reader progresses from Howson's article "Personalistic Bayesianism" to Sahlin's "On Higher Order Beliefs" to Gardenfors "On the Logic of Relevance." All address the same issues succinctly in similar terms. The probabilistic reasoning case discussed by Sahlin on page 14 is directly comparable to Howson's discussion on page 7. This allows the reader to compare them and try to determine the differences between the two approaches.
