Abstract

With only 280 pages, Pratt's book on artificial intelligence is a rather courageous attempt to offer a textbook for a field which nowadays is frequently covered in substantially bigger texts, e.g. (Russell). The modest size has the effect of emphasizing some subdisciplines of AI over others.
