Abstract

This paper reports on our experience with a post-graduate curriculum in informatics for non specialists. This one-year master seeks to provide a sound and comprehensive education in computer science for graduate students from other scientific fields. We reorganized the curriculum in 1999 around Java as the base language for all the courses. Five years later, we analyze the results we have achieved.
