Abstract

Personal computing, simply enough, is computing done on a personal computer. And a personal computer (PC) is, in turn, a digital computer (q.v.) sufficiently inexpensive that it can be purchased and used as a home appliance, or purchased in quantity by an employer and dedicated to the exclusive use of an individual worker.
