The computer programmer is the link between a problem or process to be computerized and its successful realization on the computer. In the fullest meaning of the term, the programmer will participate in the definition and specification of the problem itself, as well as the algorithms to be used in its solution. He or she will then design the more detailed structure of the implementation, select the most suitable programming language, write and debug the necessary programs, and provide clear and complete documentation for both the user and other programmers who may need to modify the program.
