Abstract

Capturing and implementing domain knowledge from system operators is a key aspect of the Autonomic Computing vision. This paper describes the autonomic architecture of Singlestep Unity ý including its abilities to collect and normalize network events from multiple event sources and perform policy-based autonomic actions based on event subscriptions. Building self-configuring and selfhealing policies using the Unity Policyscape is explored in detail.
