Users still have frustrations when they use traditional search engines on learning web. In order to effectively retrieve relevant studentsý documents while searching, this study proposes a portfolio search engine based on personal construct. The database source succeeds the studentsý portfolios of our previous system on web. The experimental results show that the performance of portfolio search engine is always better than traditional search engine significantly. Besides, the Bayesian Belief Network mechanism can be used for assisting this portfolio search engine to promote the efficiency of performance.
