Abstract

Research that began in 1999 led to the author to introduce a graduate course on pervasive computing in 2003. The course uses laboratory facilities provided, in part, by Microsoft, IBM and the European Union. The course continues to be integrated with research and has generated new ideas and has created intellectual property.
