J. A. Campbell [1] has proposed the computation of his Y2n polynomials as a challenging problem for symbolic algebra systems. These polynomials are defined by a recurrence formula involving summations over two and four indices, and a special differentiation rule. Since the number of terms in Y2n grows almost exponentially, large amounts of time and memory are required for large values of n.
