Abstract

Data Analysis seems to invoke images of everything from key punching to Extreme Value Theory. They indeed both have a place in it abiet, a small one. Rather than the single discipline or problem view, I would prefer to address the motley lot of considerations involved in the interactions of problem definition, simulation design and output analysis with Data Analysis. Data Analysis here then is defined as the analysis of the interactions between simulation variables and their associated data with the design and operational characteristics of the simulation.
