Abstract

GPSS simulation of the customer order processing through the warehouse containing packaged items at a large chemical plant in St. Louis, Missouri, is described. Objective is to determine the service rate on a certain type of order and by varying the number of warehouse personnel at key positions to obtain comparison service rates for management review.
