Abstract

The ideas in the paper by Bethke, Dean, Kaiser, Ort, and Pessin parallel so closely what people in my documentation group have been learning lately, that I was first tempted to respond with something like, "There's nothing new here. Sure, it's accurate and perceptive, but we know just as much." Then I realized that the paper had been written 10 years ago, reflecting study that is now 12 years old, any my respect grew. While we have been thinking about these things, they have long since tied it all together and implemented it.
