An algorithm for the robust and efficient simulation of high-Q oscillators using the harmonic balance method is presented. Globally convergent homotopy methods are combined with the harmonic balance method for high-Q oscillator simulation. Various homotopy options are evaluated leading to an algorithm that is applicable to a wide variety of oscillator circuits.
