Abstract

This paper discusses preparing graduates for careers in software within the context of computer science education. The paper discusses the overall relationship between computer science and software engineering, and presents an update on resources and approaches that a computer science faculty could use to enhance and extend the quality and quantity of software engineering content in their current curricula. The paper also seeks to initiate a discussion to define what resources and approaches would best support development of software engineering education.
