Abstract

Software product lines deal with reusable assets across a domain by exploring domain requirements commonality and variability. Domain requirements dependencies have very strong influence on all development phases of member products in a product line. There are many feature oriented approaches on requirements dependencies. However, most of them are limited to problem domain. Among those few focusing on solution domain, they limit on modeling requirements dependencies. This paper presents a feature oriented approach to managing domain requirements dependencies. A requirements dependencies model is given out. A directed graph-based approach is developed to analyze domain requirements dependencies for effective configuration of member products. This approach gives out a simpler directed graph, and uses a more effective algorithm to get a set of requirements for a member product. A case study for spot and futures transaction domain is described to illustrate our approach.
