Abstract

An expert system is described that controls a standard laboratory robotic system. A conceptual model of the domain is introduced to integrate every aspect of the design and execution of a laboratory procedure with robot's movements. Constructs of the conceptual model are used to define a Standard Robotic Methods system for volumetric, gravimetric, and spectrophotometric analyses.
